Suggested work for 6th class

Hi Boys and Girls!

I hope you are all well and staying safe.

Hope you got on okay with last week’s work. If you get a chance, I would love to see pictures of your history projects. Your parents can send photos to me using the Aladdin app, or alternatively photos can be emailed to us at: admin@naascns.ie for the school newspaper.

Here is the list of suggested work for this week. As always, try your best with it and challenge yourself, but don’t worry if you’re not able to complete it all.

Mind yourselves and your families, hoping to see you all again very soon.

MATHS

Topic: Area and perimeter (continued) & Problem-solving

  • Area is the space covered by a 2-D shape. We measure area in square units, such as square centimetres (cm²) or square metres (m²). To find the area of a shape you multiply one length by one width: L x W
  • Perimeter is the distance around the edge of a 2-D shape. We measure perimeter in centimetres (cm) or metres (m). To find the perimeter of a shape you add all the sides together: L + L + W + W
