Naas Community National School is the newest school in thriving town of Naas, which opened in September 2010. The Community National Schools are a new model of primary schools which were established to answer the changing needs of Irish society. Naas CNS is a multi-belief school which welcomes pupils of all faiths and none. The school is committed to a spirit of inclusion, equality and partnership in education. Currently the Community National Schools are under the temporary patronage of the Minister for Education and Skills, however, Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (Formerly VEC) are our Patrons in waiting and provide support and assistance to the model.
Naas CNS endeavours at all times to provide a happy, pleasant school atmosphere for the pupils where there is co-operation between parents, teachers and children. It is our mission that all three parties will work together to establish this positive school atmosphere. In a spirit of partnership in education, all parties seek to work cooperatively to develop a school which we are all proud of.
Naas CNS is committed to a high standard of education where the child is central to the educational process. Every effort is made at all times with the co-operation of parents to help each child to reach his/her full potential. We believe that co-operation, courtesy and good manners are essential for an effective school and for the educational development of our pupils.
Our projected enrolment for September 2016 is 273 pupils. We are located on the Craddockstown Education Campus and share the site with Naas Community College.
