Múinteoir Danielle 6.5.20

Hi Senior Infants,

Welcome back everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed the few days break. I would love to hear how everyone got on, did anybody do anything nice? Thank you so much to the boys and girls who sent in lovely pictures of their work at home. I love seeing and hearing what you are getting up to. I would love to see some more pictures from senior infants this week it always puts a smile on my face! It doesn’t have to be pictures just of school work it can be anything you did at home with your family, a nice cake you made for someone special, something you are proud of, and art piece or anything at all!!

Just like previous weeks the work is divided into daily activities but please feel free to do whatever suits you and your family. There is no pressure to carry out any of the work.

The History Project activities are at the bottom of the page- just like last week you can pick and choose which ones you would like to do. This is an ongoing project so there is no pressure to get it finished this week- I will add more activities to the table next week. I would love to see some of the work from your History Project so feel free to send in a picture of your work if you can !

It is a nice short week this week what a nice start to the Summer season- only three days until the weekend!!Have a lovely week.

Thank you,

Múinteoir Danielle

Work for the week – do only what you can!!

Wednesday

English:

Write your news into your copy. Try and sound out some of the words yourself!! Challenge yourself! Draw a picture to go with your news. This can be added to your History project box! Why don’t you get someone to record you reading your news- pretend you are on the T.V and share your news from the newsroom!

Oral language: Why don’t you try this tongue twister:

She sells sea shells by the seashore
And the shells that she sells are sea shells for sure.

Can you say it really fast? Can you say it really slow? Can you say it loud?

Maths: Patterns are everywhere – some of them simple like the sequence of a traffic light and some of them are really difficult like the swirls on a snail’s shell. Your job is to make a pattern using any medium you want. You could knit a scarf in 2 different colours or you could build a tower using Lego with different patterned levels. You could use a variety of paint colours. Be inventive and try and think of something someone else might not do. You could take a picture of your work and send it in!!

PE: Try and get some sort of physical activity each day. https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1- the Body Coach is doing PE each morning at 9am. Try and get out for a little walk, a jog or some sort of physical exercise,
