Hi Senior Infants,

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Wow- last week I got lots of photographs from everyone! It looks like everyone is having a lovely time at home, some people are gardening , others are baking and sharing recipes , some children are being very creative! I loved looking at all of the pictures. If you haven’t sent in a picture or photo yet – maybe this week you might try and share some of your news with the class. I am missing you all so much but I know you are all keeping safe at home and that is all that matters!

I have attached a “Life skills” table to work on this week. While we are all at home we are practicing and learning different life skills with our families so why not challenge ourselves a little more by picking a new one each day!! Each day you can pick something from the table. Why don’t we all try and practice ALL of the skills this week – I might even practice some too!! You can send in photographs of you carrying out the different skills!!
This week we will be getting WET!! Maths this week we will be looking at capacity- so if you can have different containers ready – jugs, bowls, plastic bottles , teaspoon, egg cup, tea cup and a basin! I would recommend a towel also! In SESE we will be exploring all about floating and sinking – this activity will be completed on Wednesday- items that are needed: Basin, towel, apply, feather, spoon, bottle, coin, pencil, ball an d a key. If there is an item you do not have just use what you have!

As I have mentioned before in relation to the work below – just do what you can. If there is anything at all that I can help you with- please just send a message.

Best of luck with all the work.
